About Sideways:

"Sideways," premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2004 and in the US the same year.

It's critically acclaimed as one of the greatest films of the 2000s and holds many national and international awards.

The compassionate film about friendship and all its imperfections, follows two men in their forties, one a depressed teacher and unsuccessful writer, and the other, a past-his-prime actor, who take a week-long road trip to the Southern California wine country to celebrate the actor's upcoming wedding; and the women they encounter during their trip.

About Kan-Kan:

Featuring many award-winning films, including international films, Kan-Kan opened its facility in 2021 and is Indy's only locally owned arthouse cinema and restaurant.

Kan-Kan is powered by the Indianapolis Film Project, incorporated in Indianapolis in 2018 as a nonprofit organization focused on building community and social understanding for enriching Indianapolis through the power of film.
