Great Decisions 2021 Briefing Book (50-99)

    View cart

Great Decisions is America's largest discussion program on world affairs. The program model involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book, watching the documentary film series and meeting in a Discussion Group to discuss the most critical global issues facing America today. Each year, the Foreign Policy Association publishes the Great Decisions Briefing Book. This publication is the basis for the Public Broadcasting System's DVDs, and for the Teachers Guide. These informational analyses on matters of global significance present a non-partisan overview along with options for consideration by U.S. policymakers. In Indiana, the Indiana Council on World Affairs (ICWA) is the Foreign Policy Association's State Coordinator for books and educational resources, and as such, offers Great Decisions Briefing Books, DVDs and the Teacher's Guide Digital download, at educational discount. For community-based and classroom discussion, the books contain questions and tools for discussion. The Teacher's Guide includes additional group facilitation material for expanding understanding of the following: ● Multiple connections among American society and the larger world. ● Historic context of America’s international relations. ● Global policy issues, options and ethical questions. ● Examining and understanding issues from multiple perspectives. Support for Academic WorldQuest Teachers: For the Academic WorldQuest, a program for high school students, each school with a teacher who registers for AWQ 2022, a copy of the Great Decisions 2021 Briefing Book will be provided, upon request and as available. NOTE: For orders of 100+ Great Decision books, please email the Indiana Council on World Affairs at info@IndianaWorld.org.
